Our Newest Supporter Feature: Profile Notes

With so many new faces on Daddyhunt, sometimes it's hard to keep track of all the hot men. Luckily, we just finished our newest Supporter feature: Profile Notes.

Now you can save comments, contact information, or details about any user on Daddyhunt. Just look on a member's profile sidebar for the new "Add Note" link. Click on it and enter text text right on that member's profile. These notes are private; no one else can read them. Click "Edit Note" to edit or delete existing notes.

You can see all of your notes in one place by selecting "Profile Notes" from the Connections menu in the navigation bar.

Log in to Daddyhunt now to try this new Supporter feature! If you're not a Supporter, visit the upgrade page to learn more about this and other great Supporter features.

Whether you're into theater or not, there's no denying that Broadway is home to some of the hottest singers and dancers around. There have been plenty of times that I've found myself drifting away from the action and towards the chorus boys to choose my favorite. And the best part is they're usually gay! Actually, that's not the best part, the best part is that they're usually very bendy.

Time Out New York has named the 10 hottest chorus boys opening in Broadway musicals this spring. Take a look and let us know which is your favorite.

And while you're at it, let us know what your favorite show is too.

Mine: Pippin (fingers crossed for a revival soon!)

Now Serving

This photo appeared across the gay blogs this weekend and it's so worth sharing. It's an incredible display of not only just how far we've come, but love in it's purest form.

From the Marine himself:

"To everyone who has responded in a positive way. My partner and I want to say thank you. Dalan, the giant in the photo, can't believe how many shares and likes we have gotten on this. We didn't do this to get famous,or something like that we did this cause after 3 deployments and four years knowing each other, we finally told each other how we felt. As for the haters, let em hate...to quote Kat Williams, everyone needs haters, so let them hate. We are the happiest we have ever been and as for the whole PDA and kissing slash hugging in uniform...it was a homecoming, if the Sergeants Major, Captains, Majors, and Colonels around us didn't care...then why do you care what these random people have to say? In summation thank you for your love and support. I received a lot of friend requests off this. I don't just accept requests so if your request was because of this post message me and let me know. Goodnight all, and Semper Fi." --Brandon Morgan

It's currently up to 17,486 likes on the Gay Marines Facebook page. Pretty amazing.

gay money

Joe.My.God posted the Top GOP Super PAC donors today, noting that one of the top five was PayPal founder Peter Thiel. And just last week news came to light that Urban Outfitters is a large contributor to gay-hating candidate Rick Santorum. In the past I've heard rumblings of places I've shopped at or dined at (damn you Coldstone!) that have given money to anti-gay political groups and it's pretty disheartening. I have a tendency to avoid these places, but some are just unavoidable. Just last week I had to use PayPal. In the past I would have argued that it shouldn't matter, but now that the Republican party is more or less the Anti-Gay Rights party, it's hard not to let it bother me.

Does a company's political contributions have an effect on where and how you spend your money? And more importantly, should it?

Please begin the lively and respectful debate below.

Mending Ex

Next time you're trying to talk your friend out of getting back together with their ex for the umpteenth time, just point them here. Now there's proof that getting back together with your ex is a terrible idea. Just take a look at the findings from a Kansas State University study:

"Couples in a cyclical relationship tended to be more impulsive about major relationship transitions -- like moving in together, buying a pet together or having a child together -- than those not in a cyclical relationship. As a result, the couples in cyclical relationships tended to be less satisfied with their partner; had worse communication; made more decisions that negatively affected the relationship; had lower self-esteem; and had a higher uncertainty about their future together.

The researchers found that couples said they got back together because they believed their partner had changed for the better or that communications had improved -- but the results indicated otherwise. Additionally, other couples stated that the relationship continued because it was unclear if they had actually ended their romance."

This is all kinds of comforting to know. Just think of how many times you went to pick up the phone to call an ex or tried to start things up again and landed right back where you started. There's a great finality to this study that makes me feel at peace with not reaching out to an ex ever again, no matter how many incredible nights you had...

Gay Rejection

It's a year old, and a little past Valentine's Day, but this video popped up in my rounds today and I think it's worth sharing. Mostly because, I think we've all been there.

What's your protocol after an unlucky night out at the bars? Mine involves an avocado and a private dance party with my pug.

Just in Time for Valentine's Day: Better Messaging

We've consolidated messages. Now when a hot guy sends you a grope, unlocks his pictures, and then sends you a message, you'll receive all three messages in one single thread, rather than three. To make writing new messages easier and clean up the inbox, we removed subject lines as well.

We've also added a great new "message read notification" feature for Supporters. When sending a message, click the checkbox to receive a notification when your message is read. Supporters also get an unlimited message history instead of just the most recent messages within each thread.

These features are now live on the site. If you're not a Supporter, visit the upgrade page to learn more about this and other great Supporter features.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Bear Cupid

Hey guys, we just want to let you all know that the DH Team thinks everyone within our community is the bee's knees, the cat's meow and luscious hunks of burning love!

The Valentines holiday is suppose to be a fun day. If you're single, today is the perfect day to show some self-love any way that works for you. Or even better, how about you drop a note to that guy you've been drooling over here on Daddyhunt or MISTER and ask him out? We dare you! Who knows, he might be the one and if not, you can never have too many friends.

We'd love to hear what you do to make this day special. A quiet dinner? A little role-playing? Spa day? A fresh bottle of Gun Oil with the goal to use every last drop? Inspire us with your creativity and the rich mind behind the best comment gets a very special gift.

However you spend this day, enjoy it!

XOXO,

The DH Team

Whitney

Just listening to her greatest hit, I'm reminded of what an incredible contribution Whitney Houston has made to pop music. Whatever her troubles, let's remember the good times and joy she brought to so many of us in our headphones and on the dance floor.

At the too young age of 48, Whitney Houston is no longer with us. May she rest in peace.

What was your favorite Whitney Houston song?

DAVEY WAVEY HOOKS UP WITH GAY DATING APP, MISTER

"Turn your ass around, swim upstream and find your salmon ass a hungry bear!"
- Davey Wavey, Blogger & Trainer in his MISTER Daddy Date Video.

This month, MISTER teamed up with Davey Wavey, a popular, gay YouTube blogger who "wants to share his love with the world." No - not like that!

We love him because, in addition to always vlogging shirtless (he hates shirts!), he also tells some great stories about dating, the gay community and guys. When Davey Wavey told us he'd never been on a date with an older guy, we decided to give him a taste of a MISTER - we set him up on a blind date with a hot, hairy, and hung daddy here in NYC. Click below to see him him tell the story!

Attention San Francisco! Find yourself a hungry bear this Saturday at Kok Bar. We'll be sponsoring the first ever West Coast MISTER App Launch Party! Click here to RSVP to the event and find yourself a hot MISTER.
