Accomplish Your Goals At Any Age

Daddy Dreams

At 64 and without a shark cage, Diana Nyad swam 110 miles from Cuba to Florida. What have you done today?

For 35 years and after 4 previous attempts, she emerged victorious from the water with a message: “One is we should never, ever give up. Two is you never are too old to chase your dreams. Three is it looks like a solitary sport, but it takes a team.” All too often, we put a pre-mature expiration dates on our dreams because society gives us the illusion that after a certain age things can't be done. But the reality is, and what Diana reminds us all, is that with passion, determination, and hard work incredible things can happen at any age. It may all sound hokey, but with a timely example like this in the headlines, it's living proof that we should swing for the fences always.

What goals or dreams have you given up on due to age? Maybe it's time to revisit them...

Good for her!
Fabulous quote.
Is she gay (not that it matters) but I'm curious.

What have I done today? I woke up and got out of bed.

".. That with passion, determination, and hard work incredible things can happen at any age."

I believe that my ultimate goal is still far away to achieve, but I'll continue to dream big and work my ass even harder! I'm 22, and I'll always do my best to appreciate the purpose of this live. Thanks for the article!

I've never given up on a goal due to age. At 60 I'm in better shape and have more endurance than most people half my age. I can still hop on my bike and ride 50 to 75 miles without even thinking about it or planning ahead. I've ridden 150 miles in a single day. I hike 6 to 12 miles with a gay hiking group. One of my unmet goals to date would be to bicycle through Europe, enjoying the scenery, history, art and taking scenic photographs along the way. I first formulated that goal when in my 30's and have been to Europe several times, but the bicycling adventure hasn't materialized yet. All of us should have the optimism to plan future events just beyond our grasp and work to achieve them. And to continue with adult learning beyond the end of our formal schooling. Happy exploring to all!

Outstanding news.. If you have the proper mind predisposition you can do it . Meaning, treating your body and mental health to an optimum state. This Lady is such a good role model for the times we are living now.!! I read about this in the news, but in a very short and secondary input. this should be in the first page of all mayor information media.
Like this British lady that started to paint at 75 with big success.
Is never to late..indeed..!!
