Best Nude Beaches

Summer is just around the corner, which means it's time to start thinking sun, fun, and getting naked at the beach. Gay Cities counts down the 10 Best Nude Beaches in the World 10 Best Nude Beaches in the World and damn if I don't want to go to all of them. As I've gotten older, I've become more comfortable with my body and exhibitionism has become more and more appealing. Add to that the fact that the beach is one of my favorite places to the be and now you've got a perfect storm of summer fun. Off this list I've only been to the Provincetown beach, but I hope to check out the others out in my travels. From what I hear, there always seems to be a friendly vibe at nude beaches. Maybe it's because you've got nothing to hide at that point so there's nothing holding you back when it comes to getting friendly with you and nude neighbor. Either way, it sounds like a wonderful summer adventure if you've never been to one.

Do you agree with the list linked above? Any others you'd recommend checking out? Let your fellow members know in the comments below and maybe we'll see your naked ass there.

Vacay

A wise woman once said, "Vacation all I ever wanted. Vacation all I ever needed."

Really, is there anything greater in this world than getting to take a break from it? I think not (unless you're able to get a little somin' somin' while you're on it). For some it's easy to meet people on vacation, but really this should be true for all. You're out of your element, you're relaxed, most likely more open. And when all of these things radiate off of you, people take notice. Mostly because everyone else is in the same (possibly literal) boat that you are. The trick to any successful getaway is to leave every expectation you have at home. Removing the idea of hooking up or meeting someone special is about the best thing you can do. The last thing you want to come out of a long planned trip is to be disappointment. And if you're able to take time off of work, isn't the whole point to not have to do any? The same applies for meeting people, you shouldn't have to work hard to make a connection. Instead, focus on being in the moment and enjoying your surroundings, friends, and activities and chances are the rest will come to you. That friendly, carefree attitude that comes with being on holiday (that's for you Europe) can be seen from a mile away and it's ever so inviting. One of the greatest joys of travel is making new friends. Throw a smile at someone or a playful hello. Ask for directions, advice or comment on some of more unique characteristics of wherever you are. These are tiny, easy ins that will take you a long way while you're away from home. Being open and...

Belvedere

There I was standing out on the balcony of the Belvedere hotel looking out onto a gorgeous Fire Island morning on the bay. Freshly showered and with my towel wrapped around my waist, I surveyed the scene around me, dropped my towel to my ankles and raised my hands to the sky. I was having my very own naked Evita moment and it was magical.

Fire Island has always had a very special place in my heart, but it's only been recently and with much reflection that I've realized how much I truly love the freedom that the island brings. In years past I've always stayed in the Pines, but through my roommates suggestion I decided to give Cherry Grove a try, specifically a lovely hotel called the Belvedere. I had heard stories through my roommate about the Belv and seen pictures of it's Venetian interiors in books, but the clothing optional hotel was even more exciting to see in person. It's been around for over 50 years, though recently renovated, and it's unlike any other structure on the island with plenty of charm to spare. The real excitement, though, lies in the simple fact that at any point in the day or night, you can roam around in all your naked glory. And while that may not be for everybody, there's a thrill that comes with being uninhibited in the presence of other men and allowing some of your voyeuristic/exhibitionist fantasies come to life.

I was doubly impressed with how friendly everyone at the hotel was - staff and guests alike. Even in Cherry Grove, which, for visual reference, is like a...

It's been a slow and steady climb, but these past few years have made Asbury Park, New Jersey one of the best East coast summer gaytaways. It's got the perfection proportions of beach, nightlife and gays making it one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations around. I've been going down there for the past few years and every summer it seems to get better and better. And the guys? Well they seem to be getting better and better as well. With an influx of men from the tri-state area, including a high number of hot Daddy-types, the beaches there provide plenty of eye candy and connections.

Next weekend (July 22 - 24) brings one of their most popular weekends, Sandblast, and it's one of my favorites. What began as a showcase for this wonderful gay-friendly beach town, has become quite the party weekend force to be reckoned with. Because now in addition to the annual beach party, they've packed in a whole weekend of gay summer fun, including the Daddyhunt sponsored Riptide Pool Party. And if you're a fan of Logo's A-List Austin will be there to join in on the fun (word around town is he likes to get naked). And we just heard from host hotel, the Berekeley Oceanfront, that there are only 50 rooms left, so if you're thinking of booking, do it ASAP!

Now onto the fun of winning some tix and your chance to dance and frolic in the sand. Just tell us which beach attire you prefer and why: speedos or board shorts?

Oh and...
