Detroit’s gay community isn’t particularly well known, but the city boasts a lively and vibrant gay culture. Due to the diversity of the city itself, all kinds of gay bars and clubs are located in the Motor City for you to find the guy that you want. Although the nearby suburbs of Ferndale and Royal Oak have more pronounced gay populations, Detroit’s downtown area also has a friendly gay community and many things to do.

Detroit’s population tends to be a bit older and more rugged than many other cities in the nation. This is good for Daddies as many of the gay friendly locales cater to older guys. Stinger’s Lounge is a more casual nightspot that has a loyal older following. Hayloft Saloon is popular among all types of gay guys, and it is a common place to meet late at night. La Dolce Vita also draws in the Daddies and some Hunters as well.

Menjo's Complex is a popular joint in Detroit for younger guys looking to hang out after-hours. This late night dance spot attracts a lot of guys looking to get their groove on. Gigi's is also a bar that many of Detroit’s younger guys spend time at, as well as the Daddies who want to meet them.

Bears and Leather Daddies also have many places to seek out guys in the Motor City. The R&R Saloon is popular among more mature guys in Detroit and places like Club 9 attract a rougher crowd too.
