For the size of the city, Madison’s gay community is large and very active. Very progressive and liberal, Madison welcomes its gays and this can be seen as many of the town’s attractions are gay-friendly. Being largely influenced by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the gay population of the city tends to be younger, and a lot of the gay culture is located downtown. Although it doesn’t have a large number of gay bars and clubs, almost all of the nightlife in the city is accepting of others.

Daddies will have a great time in this capital city, with an abundance of young guys from the university as well as the rugged outdoorsmen that call Madison home. Bars like Shamrock Bar in the capital area attract the older crowd looking to shoot a few back. Club 5 has something for everyone, and with three bars in one, Daddies should have no trouble finding a guy or two for the night.

The gay population tends to be a little younger downtown, so Hunters will find like-minded guys at places like Cardinal Bar. Plan B is a new dance club that is located a little father away from the rest of the city’s nightlife, but young guys frequent this dance spot as well.

For Bears in Madison, Woof's attracts the grayer crowd along with the leather Daddies and the guys looking to watch a game or two.
